About Us
What is The Purpose of Our Organization?
At Patana Africa, we are driven by a passionate commitment to two fundamental causes: environmental conservation and the rehabilitation of street families. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a sustainable and compassionate future for communities in Kenya and across Africa.
Our flagship initiative centers around planting fruit trees in schools across Kenya and throughout Africa. Schools serve as the perfect hub for our mission, as they are the breeding ground for future generations of environmentally conscious citizens. By introducing fruit trees into school environments, we aim to achieve several key objectives:
- Environmental Education: We use schools as educational platforms to raise awareness about the critical role trees play in combating climate change.
- Community Involvement: We encourage local communities to actively participate in the planting and care of fruit trees, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Nutrition and Food Security: The fruits harvested from these trees not only enrich the diets of students but also provide surplus fruits that can be shared with needy families, helping alleviate hunger.
- Climate Change Mitigation: By absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, these trees contribute significantly to our climate change mitigation effort
